Manage every order to perfection
Automate order routing, optimize fulfillment sourcing, and maintain delivery promises with a platform that combines scalability, flexibility, and intelligent decision-making
Import orders at scale
OneStock receives orders from any sales channel through scalable APIs that can handle mixed carts, multiple delivery methods and complex order structures. It processes thousands of orders per minute with real-time validation and immediate orchestration triggers.
Advanced fulfilment sourcing
OneStock supports a variety of advanced fulfillment sourcing strategies based on factors such as order attributes, channel, locations and service levels to ensure you’re always optimizing how orders are fulfilled.
Total control of your order workflows
OneStock’s workflow engine provides complete control over order and return lifecycles without custom code. Business users define and adapt workflows through a visual interface, tailoring statuses, transitions, and actions. The system supports custom steps triggering third-party integrations.
Fulfillment optimization & payment capture management
Orchestrate payment capture precisely when fulfillment events occur. Handle split shipments with partial captures, trigger refunds on cancellations and ensure payment consistency across ship-from-store and BOPIS scenarios. Integrated with Adyen, Payplug and HiPay for enterprise payment workflows, and additional payment providers added quickly as needed.
Intelligent orchestration use cases
Competitive store allocation
Broadcast orders to all eligible stores simultaneously, whether owned or franchise. The first store to claim the order wins fulfillment, ensuring fairness and speed. nnIntersport ships 93% of digital sales from stores using this gamified approach, boosting store engagement and reducing delivery times.
Cross-Border fulfillment with tax compliance
Fulfill international orders across borders using local store inventory while automatically calculating duties and generating compliant customs documentation via Global-e. Exclude hazardous products from cross-border eligibility using attribute-based orchestration rules.
Express delivery and same-day fulfillment
Sequential sourcing combined with delivery promise calculation allows retailers to activate ultra-fast delivery by orchestrating store-based inventory, eligibility zones, and express carriers. Retailers define delivery catchment areas around stores to offer 2-hour delivery with confidence.
Mixed cart order management
Process orders where one item ships home and another is made available for pickup in store, all in a single checkout experience. Each delivery line acts as an independent orchestration unit with different promises, fulfillment sources, and delivery methods so no parent order complexity is required.
How it works
Import & Validate
Orders are imported in real-time via API from any sales channel. OneStock validates order data, enriches it with inventory availability and delivery promise information and assigns the appropriate orchestration ruleset based on order attributes.
Source & Allocate
The orchestration engine evaluates inventory levels, fulfillment capacity, proximity, costs and business rules to determine the optimal fulfillment source. Sequential or competitive allocation strategies are applied based on configured rulesets.
Execute Workflow
The order enters the configured workflow, progressing through statuses such as validated, allocated, prepared, packed and shipped. Automated actions trigger notifications, payment captures and third-party integrations at each transition.
Fulfill & Ship
Store or warehouse teams pick, pack, and ship the orders using the OneStock store fulfillment app. Carrier labels are generated automatically and shipment tracking information is synchronized in real-time.
Monitor & Support
Customer service teams have full visibility into orchestration decisions, fulfillment status and delivery tracking. They can help customers with order cancellations, address changes or rerouting if issues arise.
What is the difference between sequential and competitive order allocation?
Sequential allocation evaluates fulfillment locations in a defined priority order, offering the order to one location and waiting for rejection or timeout before moving to the next. This approach provides controlled allocation aligned with strategic stock usage. nnCompetitive allocation broadcasts orders simultaneously to all eligible stores, allowing the fastest location to claim the order. This ‘race’ methodology eliminates delays, reduces preparation time, and increases store adoption. This is particularly effective during peak periods or for franchise networks.
How does OneStock ensure that delivery promises are kept during fulfillment?
OneStock orchestrates every order around the promise made to the customer at checkout. The delivery commitment is treated as a primary constraint during allocation, routing, and execution. The orchestration engine continuously evaluates real-time inventory, capacity signals, and fulfillment constraints to select inventory locations capable of meeting the promise. If issues arise during execution (e.g.an inventory discrepancy or busy store staff abandon an order), the system automatically reallocates the order to maintain the commitment.
Can I manage cross-border orders and international tax compliance through OneStock?
Yes. OneStock enables granular configuration of cross-border delivery logic through the Delivery Promise module, handling international constraints and service levels. The platform integrates natively with Avalara for automated tax calculation, managing complex nexus laws across US and Canada. Native carrier integrations like Global-e facilitate shipping execution and customs documentation retrieval. Attribute-based rules automatically exclude non-compliant products (e.g., hazardous materials) from cross-border routes.
How customizable are the orchestration rules, and do I need IT support to change them?
OneStock provides a self-service orchestration engine with over 200 customizable business rules accessible through the user interface. Business users can fine-tune sourcing and routing logic without custom development or IT support. Rules can be weighted and prioritized to reflect objectives such as cost minimization, speed optimization, or sustainability. Automated ruleset assignment can be pre-scheduled for specific dates (e.g., Black Friday rules) and activated automatically.
What happens if a store fails to fulfill an order it was assigned?
OneStock intelligently handles reallocation if problems occur. If an assigned store fails to claim the order, reports a stock discrepancy, or abandons an order it previously claimed, the orchestration engine automatically reallocates the order to the next eligible location based on configured rules. This ensures delivery promises are maintained while minimizing manual intervention and customer impact.
