For your customers, nothing is more frustrating than finding that the product they want is out of stock. Thanks to the Future Stock module, OneStock allows you to expand the catalogue of products you have available for sale. Sales are no longer limited to items available in warehouses or in-store because the Order Management System also includes stock on order or in transit.

By integrating future stock, the sale is no longer denied to the customer! Thanks to a later delivery date, it is possible to sell these items to interested customers.

Expand your catalogue thanks to future stock

In an omnichannel system, Future Stock is considered an additional stock point from which a customer order can be completed. It is a strategic stock point because it expands the product catalogue and takes over from stores and warehouses in the event of stock shortages. This allows all customer orders to be fulfilled. As for the retailer, it is important that they be reactive and re-order items as soon as the available stock is about to be sold out. Thus, the whole range of products remains available for sale online and in-store (Order In Store).

Increased customer satisfaction

Thanks to Future Stock, buyers can access a wider range of products. Purchase intentions are met immediately and the buying process is made easier. Customers no longer need to keep returning to the e-commerce website to check whether their desired items are back in stock. The items in question can be ordered immediately and whilst delivery times are extended, this does not constitute a barrier for customers providing the availability date indicated is accurate and reliable.

Better stock management for retailers

Products that are on order or in transit can be ordered by the customers on the website or in-store (Order in Store). This allows the retailer to save time, optimize the assortment of products sold (in particular on the website) and save on storage space.

Allowing online orders for future stock also gives the retailers’ purchasing teams additional information to develop their purchasing strategies. Indeed, they can access the number of orders that have been placed for items from future stock and can gauge whether the number of orders, the volume of purchases and the size breakdowns are correct. By analysing the orders placed for items from future stock early on, it is possible to increase or reduce the order volume of future stock to better meet customer demand.

An additional benefit of this module is that once the stock has been received, it is immediately dispatched to the customer, which means that the storage units are not cluttered. The equation is a triple win for retailers:
